Celebration of Jerry Vaughns

We’re gathering to celebrate and remember Jerry — a loving partner, father, PopPop, brother, uncle, friend and community member who meant so much to so many of us.

This day is about being together in a way that feels true to Jerry: sharing time, food, stories, and moments of remembrance. There will be space for conversation, reflection, and simply being present with one another.

Santa Anita Park felt like the right place to honor him — open, familiar, and full of life. During the races, we’ll share a special moment in his honor with “The Jerry’s Victory Lap,” a named race recognizing a life well lived.

Whether you stay for an hour or the afternoon, whether you feel like talking or just listening, your presence is enough.
